What to Watch

• Zoning By-law Amendment — Funston By-law: A public meeting on an amendment to Kincardine’s comprehensive zoning by-law (2025-052), with Council expected to give it three readings and pass it at the same meeting.
• Kincardine Airport Future — Notable: Staff recommend Council endorse talks with the Kincardine Airport Interest Group (KAIG) on a volunteer partnership for operations and promotion — but Council will also formally acknowledge three alternatives on the table: a new competitive Airport Service Provider contract, a dedicated internal municipal staff position, or airport divestiture via sale, lease, or transfer to eliminate ongoing operating deficits and capital obligations.
• Decorative and Commemorative Crosswalk Policy: Council will vote on a new policy governing decorative and commemorative crosswalks, with a by-law ready for passage.
• E-Scooter Pilot Project: Council will choose between staying out of the Provincial e-scooter pilot (status quo) or directing staff to report back on opting in, covering safety rules, permitted areas, enforcement, and accessibility considerations.
