The Blue Mountains Council Meeting — Monday, September 28, 2026 @ 9:30 AM

What to Watch

Moreau Park Revitalization Grant Application (E.1) — Council will direct staff to apply to the Province’s Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF) to help fund eligible elements of the Moreau Park Revitalization Project.

$25.4M Water Systems Funding Agreement (E.2) — Council will authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an amended agreement with the Ontario Ministry of Infrastructure to receive $25,397,523.99 through the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund for the Craigleith Main Sewage Lift Station, Mill Street Pumping Station, and Bay Street Forcemain — significant infrastructure tied to future housing growth.

Official Plan Amendment No. 5 (F.1) — Council will enact a by-law adopting the new Official Plan Amendment arising from the Town’s five-year OP review, which guides long-term land use across the municipality.

Zoning Lift at 215 Lakeshore Road East (F.2) — A holding symbol (h27) would be removed from a portion of lands at 215 Lakeshore Road East, clearing a condition that has been delaying development on that site.

Rezoning of Railway Street Lands (F.3) — Lands on Railway Street would be rezoned from Residential One and Open Space to a new Residential One Exception zone with a holding symbol, signalling a new residential use is being enabled subject to conditions.

“Reaching Our Peak” Community Improvement Plan (F.4 & F.5) — Council will both designate a Community Improvement Project Area and formally adopt the Reaching Our Peak CIP, a notable new planning tool that could unlock financial incentives for property improvements in targeted areas.
